Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA 2010) instituted by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) will be effective nationwide in late 2010. CSA 2010 utilizes a new Safety Measurement System tool to evaluate the safety performance of driver and carrier with the intent purpose of creating safer roads for everyone.

There are 7 Behavioral Analysis Safety Improvement Categories (BASIC) used to measure the safety of a carrier.

  1. Unsafe Driving
  2. Fatigued Driving (Hours of Service)
  3. Driver Fitness
  4. Controlled Substance/Alcohol
  5. Vehicle Maintenance
  6. Cargo – Related Handling
  7. Crash Indicator

Failure to meet any of these measurements will result in undesirable ratings that directly affect your fleet operations efficiency and costs.

Truck Tracker Software assists you in ensuring your fleet’s maintenance is current, the vehicle reported problems do not go undetected, the training, licenses, physicals and certifications of your driver’s are current, and the driver’s hours along with vehicular incident records are recorded. These features in Truck Tracker will help ensure that you measure up to the FMCSA’s new safety guidelines.

Much of the documentation necessary for an onsite comprehensive investigation by a licensed authority is available in Truck Tracker. You can easily provide your fleet’s maintenance records, driver’s fitness and qualifications, and driver’s mileage log history that are stored within Truck Tracker

Truck Tracker enables you to keep more organized records for your driver’s and fleet avoiding any fines or penalties. You are able to take a proactive approach in maintaining your fleet and monitoring your drivers. Truck Tracker helps you measure up to the CSA 2010 standards!
