Preventive Maintenance 101

In addition to end-user training for the maintenance software we can also provide fleet maintenance training. This is a value added service which supplements and compliments your current maintenance practices. Some of the training options provided by Certified Professional Trainers are Preventive Maintenance 101 which includes both lecture (theory) and practical (hands-on) training formats at your location and is designed to give your technicians the training they need to identify problems with your equipment - before they become problems for you and your customers on the road. By performing quality Preventive Maintenance inspections you can ensure the operation of safe, road worthy vehicles and lower maintenance costs by reducing vehicle breakdowns and repairs between PMs, and ultimately - add dollars back to your bottom line.

Basic Electrical and Troubleshooting

The Basic Electrical and Troubleshooting Course is designed to provide practical instruction which includes both lecture (theory) and practical (hands-on) troubleshooting. This two day class is designed to give your technicians the training they need to properly check and diagnose electrical circuits using a Digital Multi Meter. They will also be taught the fundamentals of electricity and understand current, voltage and resistance and the relationship between each. Upon completion of the course they will be able to
  • Demonstrate the ability to use Ohm's Law to solve basic problems in electrical circuits.
  • Define - understand current, voltage and resistance, and the relationship between each.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use Ohm's Law to solve basic problems in electrical circuits.
  • Develop a comfortable skill level in using a digital volt ohm meter in troubleshooting circuits.

Federal Annual Inspection Training

Federal Annual Inspection Training includes both lecture (theory) and practical (hands-on) training formats at your location. This one day class is designed to give your technicians the training they need to properly perform and document a Federal Annual Inspection per the guidelines set forth in the FMCSA Appendix G to Subchapter B — Minimum Periodic Inspection Standards. Additionally, participants are shown the differences between the out-of-service criteria (OOS) and the FMCSA's Federal Annual Inspection guidelines. By performing quality Federal Annual Inspections you can ensure the operation of safe, road worthy vehicles and eliminate costly DOT fines and violations. When teamed with a quality Preventive Maintenance program, this ultimately leads to lower maintenance costs by reducing repairs between PMs and vehicle breakdowns.
